TRYGON

The Trygons of Hive fleet Scorpio are superficially similar to the Trygons of other Hive fleets. The Trygon uses its powerful claws to burrow underground so that it may attack prey from their vulnerable underside. The Scorpio Trygon uses it's bio-electric field to a much higher degree, this can be easily seen as the field is stronger and highly visible on it's claws.
 
It still uses the field to unleash a short range attack and to provide energy protection. However in close quarters the field is used to attack as a series of energy waves in place of the claws which are actually used to direct the electrical charges. The creature is still capable of using it's claws if it desires but for an unknown reason it utilizes a more powerful bio-electric field in this way which is just as deadly.
 
Within the underground hives of Scorpio the Trygon works to dig additional tunnels. Scorpio breeds specific Burrower scorpions for this purpose and the Trygon is used for quick work and underground scouting. In this way the Trygon searches with it's smaller tunnels and the larger Burrower scorpions follow digging much larger and more stable tunnels for the hive.
