My biggest problem with Tyranids is that there aren’t any biological limits to their evolution, so I wanted to create lots of different organisms. Since I wanted to avoid only choosing one theme and type of organism to my army, I opted to deposit all my ideas in one big army. So Biodiversity will be the main theme of my Tyranid army.
But what are Tyranids?

Personally I think Tyranids are the definitive expression of life on the 40k universe, they are biologically unmatched.
For some Tyranids are space dinosaurs, others consider them insects and many simply bugs… for me they are everything. From the simple microscopic spores to the colossal titan creatures, they are the ultimate manifestation of life and can take the shape that most fits their task… to claim biomaterial.
From the chameleon patterns of giant octopus in the deep ocean worlds to the deadly venoms, and dissolving acids of spiders in web planets they have harvested all, even human synaptic brains, and blended it with their own genetic code…
So if they can control harvested genetic code for sure their organic outer shell would be very unsystematic, and this is why Biodiversity Project makes so much sense in my bug brained cranium.
